A Night of Amazing Music and a Beautifully Lit Stage with Cavetown, Tessa Violet, and Addison Grace.

During quarantine of 2020, I spent a lot of time on youtube, looking for new music. In a prior life, I was a music lead at Borders books and music (RIP) and had a better idea of what was new and cool. In the years since, I’ve fallen out of the scene of whatever is popular and only know a few new artist. You can see from a lot of my pictures on here that I like to try and get pics of artists 16 year old me would be stoked to see. But with the free time to enjoy some newer stuff and the vastness of the internet a teenage josh didn’t have, I found a lot of new artists and newfound love of music. I digress, but the ease of social media to allow upcoming artists to release and promote their music without a label is something that I absolutely love. To go back to Borders, I requested to work Friday nights because of the open mic nights, to hear who might be the next up-and-coming artists. A product of having an open-mic Night at your fingertips was this evening with Cavetown, Tessa Violet, and Addison Grace. I was a fan of Violet prior to this and seeing she’d be opening, I got familiar with the other 2 acts and instantly became fans. The perfect pairing of a fun, inclusive, mellow night. The energy, the music, and the stage just felt good.
