A Purple, Post-Punk Night with the March Violets, Rosegarden Funeral Party, and Siamese

Last Friday at Small's was a night of icons and up-and-comers at Smalls in Hamtramck. First up local, dark rock band Siamese introduced more synth/keyboard to a great set that included a couple new songs. Next, Rosegarden Funeral Party,  who have quite a following of their own, played a thrilling set with music from their latest "From the Ashes" album along with other favorites. It's always a treat to see them. Goth rock icons, the March Violets, closed the night with a fun set of their classics, like "Walk Into the Sun" and "Snake Dance" with some new songs from their latest "Crocodile Promises" which shows they haven't lost their knack for dark pop.
