Struggling Not To Be A Mark: Fozzy Rocks Diesel with GFM, Krash Karma, and The Nocturnal Affair
I have been a wrestling fan since I was a baby. My first memories are trampoline wrestling with the neighbors or ordering PPVs and having my buddies come to my house. One wrestler that has been a constant favorite is Chris Jericho. From the man of 1,004 holds to Y2J to The Jericho Appreciation Society, his ability to reinvent himself and stay relevant shows his genius for the business. There’s an interview somewhere where he talks about how he would do things for his character just to make himself pop, that was an attitude I started to carry with me. A few years ago, My wife and I were lucky enough to be front row with Fozzy played The Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan. And when I fell into concert photography, I knew I had to one day be on the other side of that barricade and photo one of his shows. And luckily, I made the List of Jericho and was fortunate enough to photo the first stop on his “Save the World” tour at Diesel in Chesterfield.
And as a bonus, opening for Fozzy is an amazing group of musicians, GFM. I first saw them at the Insane Clown Posse’s Gathering of the Juggalos in 2019 and was completely blown away.
